Can I add RAM with different voltage, latency, or size?

Hey, I’m thinking about adding RAM to my computer, but I don’t know what kind I should get now since newegg doesn't have the same type anymore and I prefer ordering from them. Would everything be fine if I used RAM with different latency, voltage, brand name? I could probably order the same type for a lot of money, but I was wondering if a cheaper brand would be fine?

The RAM is:http://www.patriotmem.com/products/detailp.jsp?prodline=5&catid=52&prodgroupid=120&id=857&type=1

Motherboard I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128392
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808&cm_re=AMD_955-_-19-103-808-_-Product

What if I bought cheaper 4gb RAM sticks that had a lower voltage and speed? Would everything be fine.

Also, just how much faster would the computer be after adding more than 4gb of RAM. I can support up to 16GB.

It should be fine. Size and timings definitely wont cause a problem, the voltage used (like the timings and speed) should be the higher required of the 2 sticks.

What exactly do you mean bout the voltage?

The two sticks in my computer now are 2gb sticks running at 1.8v.

Just to sum this up, so I don't have to make it too long: what if I use RAM sticks of different size with lower speed like maybe 1333mhz, will there be a problem. Should I just use the same speed?

Also, what will happen if I use RAM of lower voltage or do I need RAM with the same voltage or higher than whats in the computer already?

If 1333 is slower then what you already have, it will back clock all sticks to 1333 by default. The bios wll try to find a common ground between all the sticks, which usually means it will default to the slowest speed/highest timing and highest votage of the sticks installed.

If you add slower memory than what you already have it will make all your memory sticks run at the same speed as your slowest memory stick.
