Can I add USB ports?

My computer only has 2 USB ports, but they are so close to each other that I can sometimes only plug in one at a time.

I have a picture of the back of my computer, but for some reason, this forum won't allow me to upload the picture.

Is there any way to add more USB's, like with an extension or to convert one of the other types of ports to a USB port?

Can anyone tell me why I am unable to upload pictures on this forum? I clock on the paperclip icon and nothing happens.

On a desktop you can buy expansion brackets that go in the back of your PC and 2.5" or 3.5" USB bay drives to put in the front of your PC but on a laptop the best thing you can probably do is get a USB hub: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817366050&cm_re=usb_hub-_-17-366-050-_-Product

Just buy a cheap USB hub on Amazon. It will save you time and effort.

Just a heads up with using a hub, if you are connecting devices that require fair bit of power you'll likely need an externally powered hub. Otherwise the one linked should be fine.

The other option is to maybe look at some kind of PCMCIA or ExpressCard expansion card for your laptop if you want something internal. It looks pretty old so it should support one of those (PCMCIA probably).
