Can I clear XP and Run MAC OS X?

I have a computer running XP (home built) and I would like to run the MAC OS on it after seeing how easy and stable it is for everyday uses. I have a laptop that I use for my daily stuff but would like to have a mac as well. Can this be done? My system specs are basic but here they are:

Intel G845 MB
2.8GHZ P4
1GB ram
ATI x1300 256mb video
80GB 7200rpm HD

Any ideas?

linux is fairly similar to unix, as far as stability

you could dual boot linux and xp

no 'how-to,' all you do is install linux. 99% of linux distro's automatically install a boot menu if they detect a 2nd o/s on your computer

You guys should visit www.insanelymac.com

That's the site which started off OSx86Project.org, and has some great tutorials for installing OS X on your PC.

I've run OS X on my PC in my sig. Runs pretty well too. Doesn't beat the real thing though.
