my emachine took a crap and i ordered a custom built one which has a sata2
HD and the emachine is ata 100.i collect coins and all my info is stored on a program on the emachine HD. can i install the old HD as well to access my coin collection or will i have a problem because of emachines restore disk. my new mobo (asus m2a-vm) supports ata and sata. also can i install the emachine dvd/rw and card reader into the new pc without the drivers. emachines does not list there drivers on there website. thanks guys

Yes, simply plug in the old HDD to the MoBo using it's IDE cable.

For the DVD drive and card reader, it should work fine. Windows may download drivers for it, but I'd think it would be good as-is.
