Can I create a network using my BT Home Hub?

Hey guys,

We've recently signed up with BT as our new ISP, my brother and I connect our desktop PCs to the internet through our BT Home Hub's two ethernet ports.

Is there any way I could use the Hub to make a network between our two computers?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question but I never really understood networks I was always the guy who stood around doing nothing when everyone was connecting their computers up for a LAN tourney

Sorry I knew I'd make a fool of myself

I meant like can we make a connection to each other's computers to transfer folders and play multiplayer etc?
