hi everyone-so I have win 7 pro 32 bit installed. I am wondering if I can install Ubuntu 64 bit on the same hard drive and dual boot from it? im still trying to find a way to get the full use of my 8GB and I cant afford to buy a 64 bit version of win 7 -so hence my bright idea to dual boot Ubuntu 64 bit. so guys is it possible??

Yes. I just don't understand why you would want to. Useless to install a 64 bit linux just to utilize more memory when you really want to use windows. Doesnt make sense to me unless I'm missing something.

If you plan on using Ubuntu a lot then sure, go ahead. Otherwise john is right, i'd think it's kinda pointless.

Also, I'd suggest Linux Mint over Ubuntu. It's a lot better (in my opinion) overall.

yes i guess ur right- i really do want to use windows, but i cant afford to buy another win 7 cd with 64 bit- i think i will just wait until i can- i appreciate your input thanx
