alienwars cool for big budget, like $1500 ++

Area-51® m5750 is cool,
just upgrade to 1gb or more, for $160
good video card is already included. x1800 256mb.
if you need more hard drive space, get some more, may be little more.
and of course the cpu is really good, you don't need to upgrade,
you can though, may be like additional $250 for .4ghz more. i don't think its worth it...
if you need dvd burner, its extra $50 also. recomanded...

i'd say about $1700~$1750 +tax you'd get a really nice alienware laptops..
before dell took over this company they used to be overpriced.
but now adays i heard its really good to buy from alienware... especially core 2 duo laptops are amazing!

The E1705 at dell is also pretty good has the 256mb geforce 7900 go in it. Around $1700 fully loaded

i wouldn't go for alienware, i've heard they can be troublesome, my cousin has one which i have used and i disliked it. They do play games well though. That dell sounds cool.

when did dell take over alienware?

(my cousin's alienware was probably pre dell take over, if it actually happened)

can anyone confirm that dell took over alienware? sounds a little off base to me

I was pricing them out as well, and for around $1400 you can get 1GB of memory, 120GB HD, 7900GS, and lots of other features.

if your going to purchase a laptop go with something reliable. not with something thats are going to burn your house down or break down and give you lots of problems. HP and Toshiba are make great notebooks IMO. here are a few i pickd out that comes with the latest processors, intels C2D and with great video cards as well.
