Can i get this ram upgrade?

i got a dimension 4700. currently got 2x 512mb pc2-3200 240 pin ram sticks in it according to cpuz. there is still 2 slots left, and i was woundering if i could put one 1gb stick in if it will affect it at all?....let me know, thxs, shawn

It would be better to put in another 2 sticks of 512mb for dual channeling purposes. Also, check and make sure that your motherboard will allow you to have 2GBs of ram.
