The motherboard that i currently have supports 3 fans, CPU, Power and Chassis. But the cases i am wishing to buy for better air flow, can all have more than 3 fans, so, is there a way i can have more that 3 fans?

Thank you.

(I have an ASUS P5QLD PRO)

Thanks so much, this is great! :)

Although i will have to find one of these in the UK. I suppose Amazon will sell them though.

Thanks again. :)

that should do just fine. just make sure that the the new fans that you buy have the 3 pin connector. Some will only have the molex connector.

Yes i will do that. But while i'm here, the case that i want has a SATA port on the front, but my motherboard doesn't have any SATA (pin??) connectors. So would there be a way to connect it another way? (I know this is highly unlikely)

You won't control it, your motherboard will. The fans will spin down but the rpms will be determined by your computer. If you want full control you need to get a fan controller like the one that jamesd1981 posted.

if you browse around you will probably find a cheaper alternative to the one i posted, it is a top end one, have a look on maplin, dabs, aria, scan

sure you will find a cheaper version.

Ohh right. Well it shouldn't be a problem should it?

yeah hey looks good nice and basic and just does what you want it to do, but unless you know what your doing dont mess with cpu fan making it run to slow could cause it to overheat, your case fans are where most of the noise comes from, adjust them as you like slower when your just browsing, faster when your doing video work etc.

I'm leaving the CPU fan well alone :)
My MB has Fan Xpert which can stop the fan speed from getting too low causing the CPU to overheat. I will only increase the speed if it's necessary.

LoL imaginate that your computer doesn't have any fans. You wouldn't hear it at all! =D Of course only the next morning your CPU would be toasted xD
Still it would be cool to have the computer that is not releasing any fan sounds except when writing something to the HDD =D
