Can i install windows 7 on a laptop with windows 8?

I have an Asus S300CA-C1048H laptop

Windows 8 is installed on it from the factory, is it possible to install Windows 7
I think that the laptop will work faster, and I do not like Windows 8

Hoooowww about Windows 10? The supported OS. 7 is dead, and there's a pretty good chance you'd have driver/chipset issues if it came with 8.

If its just that there is no start menu, you can download a program called open shell that will give you a start menu. That way you don't have to deal with the tablet screen. And you can upgrade to windows 10 as its still free to do so.

As was stated, Windows 10 is free and likely the best option. Windows 10 actually runs pretty well on old hardware; we have numerous PC's running 10 on hardware from ~2006 (Core 2 Duos).

Well technically I'm talking about 8 through 10. 8.1 and 10 doesn't have a traditional start menu that most people are used to. I will not work on a machine that doesn't have a traditional start menu. It's a pain in the ass to find crap in the sorry excuse for start menu that 8.1 and 10 have.
