Can I Overclock?

I was unsure of the specs of my computer and its capabilities of overclocking the cpu, so here are the specs:

Intel Quad core q6600 2.4GHz (With stock cooling it runs 30-35 idle and 40-50 load)
450w PSU
ASUS P5q3 mobo
6 gigs of ddr3


If I can overclock, I was wondering if I can do it with my stock cpu fan.
 
Absolutely. The Q6600 is an overclocking legend.

I'm not sure how high you could go with the stock
cooler. I would think you could easily get it up to
3Ghz. Just have to watch the temps and see how
it goes.
