can i play GTA4?

do u think i can play GTA 4 smoothly on low or medium setting? i have intel core 2 duo t7700 @2.4ghz, 4 gb of ram and nvidia geforce 8600gs with 512ms.

Anyway,I think it will struggle to play on those specs,GTA IV realy only runs at its best on a system that has a Quad core processor and a decent graphics card.

That laptop just isnt up to the task of playing GTA IV decently.
 
Well, my son has that game and everything runs fine on it. It's a desktop but the specs are E6600, 2gb memory, and HD3850 512mb video card. I'm sure the 3850 isn't that much better than the 8600???
 
i can play games like assassin's creed or empire total war completely smoothly on low setting and playable on medium setting, so what does assassin's creed compare to gta4?

If thats aimed at me....i did not say he couldnt! I said i think it will struggle!

and i know for a fact he wont get the full potential of the game...my older desktop setup which was an e6300 overclocked to 2.8ghz....4gb of ram and a 8800GT overclocked struggled to get decent framerates and was sligish gameplay.

Now it runs like a dream.

It doesnt cost that much, why not just buy it and try. If it doesnt work then you can show your son how it doesnt work instead of just saying "it wont work".

When I was a kid, hearing "it wont work" used to make me think my dad was just trying to get me to shut up.
