i dont like vista its so slow and most of my programs i doubt will installl on them>

reason 3.0
pro tools
acid pro etc

i have my xp pro disc can i use that instead of vista?
or will i loose warranty support?

As long as you have a legit copy of windows, I see no reason why you couldn't load it. And I don't think it would harm your warranty. Most services don't cover software anyway. If you have any software related problems, they typically just reload Windows(or give you a new hard drive with a fresh install of windows...)

thats not a problem i have student discounts i could get xp pro for $100 ,i just need to defff know if its capable of running xp pro over writing vista

yep, its possible to "dual boot" XP and vista. and no, you dont need a legit copy of windows, but bill gates would cry, so you better just spend the money :P. here is an EXCELLENT tutorial site I fould when i needed help.
heres a dual booting tip: use the built in partitioning tool on vista to partition your hard drive. it is MUCH easier!! (just search for 'partition', and you should find it.
PM me if you need any help :)

if you get rid of vista and replace it with xp you will need to install all the mobo drivers ,
if you didnt get a disk for the mobo go on there website and download them and put them on a disk first.
