is it still backwards compatible?
Here's my question. My laptop is currently running 1GB @ 533mhz.
It says that my laptop can run up to 4GB @ 667mhz, so if that's the case, i need 4GB @ 667mhz sticks of ram.
but... Can i put a 4GB @ 800mhz into my laptop? Is it still backwards compatible so it would run at the speed of 667mhz?
The reason for this is, 4GB @ 800mhz ram is $40. But 4GB @ 667mhz ram is $60
I know it's stupid, faster ram is more cheaper.
So i save $20 if i buy the 800mhz one. What do you think?
