I second Audacity. I've used it to record ringtones. Very easy and awesome.

Lol i don't think we needed to know ALL of your computer. lol It's cool though.

Theres a program I know if called Advancedmp3wma recover. I saw it a while ago so I dont know if its still available anywhere or if its free or not.

are you trying to record sound with speakers, or a microphone, because if you're trying speakers that might be the problem(not trying to insult you)

Non Taken! I just want to record sound that comes out of my speakers! Like when I play a game I want it to record what I hear!

OHHH!!! I get ya, Like the sound effects you hear in the game. Like you want to use that in kind of like an mp3 form to be replayed back to you. Like say a alien squeal from Crysis (EXAMPLE) you want to record that and save it on your computer to be replayed. Am I correct?

No! I want to record the game sound! Like example I am making a battlefield 2 war! I want it to hear what I hear out of my speakers! Like I want it to record the whole game! I need the sound of me walking and shooting and etc! I don't just want parts of sounds I want the whole match recorded!:P

haven't checked it out but if it doesn't support JUST audio than you can use Audacity and export it as an mp3 so JUST audio. Am I getting you correctly?

I also just found this...... http://www.wegame.com/

Hope this helps a little.
