Can I setup my Raid 1 to re-sync up at certain times?

I don't know what category to put this under.

Any way I have a ASUS M2N68-AM Plus Motherboard and Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and two drives that are in Raid 1. My question is when will it try to resync the drives. As I had to re-sync them myself.

Is there a way to schedule it to resync the drives at a certain time? Maybe use another software program?

I'm using the on board Nvidia Raid controller.

It would be nice if it would re-sync periodically on it's own.

Raid 1 suppose be realtime, when os write to the drive. it write to the two of them same time, if it doesn't something is wrong.

You can try copy a file to the drive, then disconnect one of them at each times to see if both drive had the file you copy to?

Same here ..well similar

While I realize this thread is on the old side I didn't want to recreate the very same thread related to the same question. The difference here is my RAID array is RAID 5 with 5 disks.

Is there some way with a third party program or within Windows to setup scheduled synchronization if NVIDIA MediaShield doesn't have that option built in? I mean if it is built in I can't see it.

My mainboard is an EVGA 730i. I can manually click within MediaShield to resynchronize but as I understand it, from IBM, this should be done weekly.

Annyone have insight or particular knowledge?
