I want to transfer my Microsoft Office 2007 from my laptop to my desktop then delete it off my laptop. What files do I need to transfer in order to get this to work without issues?
There used to be a "Save My Settings" Wizard in Office that would transfer your custom settings. That was removed in Office 2007. Now you have to do it using the Windows User State Migration Tool. I came across some apps that do the same thing but the above is free.
What's the deal? Where did I say move the program? You can move the settings. It's like copying the favourites in your browser to another PC. You know, templates, macros, layout.You can NOT move a program. Period.
