Can I turn off windows 8.1 touch feaure?

Hi guys,

My wife drop her lapop, the screen cracked, the laptop still working, but the touch screen interfering with the touch pad, is there a way I can disable or turn off the touch screen feature on the laptop or in windows 8.1?
The laptop is Asus S200e.

Go to the start screen. Control Panel. More Settings. Hardware and Sound. Pen and Touch. Touch Tab. Uncheck, Use your finger as a Input Device.
