Can I update an integrated card?

I have a Gateway computer with a video card built into the motherboard.
I've heard of problems with putting in a PCI video card onto an integrated motherboard, is this true? Of course, I want to know if its gonna work before I buy it. Here is the card I'm thinking of getting: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1160567&Tab=0&NoMapp=0
My Computer Specs:

Windows XP Home Edition
Pentium 4 CPU 1.80 GHz
256MB RAM
Intergrated Intel(R) 82845G/GL Graphics Controller

Thanks!

you wont have any problems i can see. there are better pci cards, but at a higher price.

you will probably have to disable the onbaord video in bios before you can use the card.

Thanks, I really only plan to get so I can play The Return of the King computer game I got last Christmas, and maybe boost my other lower quality games.

you should deffinetly upgrade to at least 512mb of ram, games will be pretty choppy.
Are you talking about my regular RAM or the card memory? The ROTK game only needs a 32MB card to play.

ya it should work i did that with mi HP, i installed an nVidia card other than using the crappy one that the motherboard comes with
