Can I use this monitor?

I believe it will but wanted to run it past you guys to get your thoughts. Also to see if maybe I am missing some thing and cant use it. I am currently using this monitor. http://www.samsung.com/us/business/monitors/LS23PUHKFV/ZA

I mainly use the PC and monitor for school 2-D and 3-D computer design. I also have to watch a lot of videos from the school over assignments and want to add another monitor just for watching videos coming from the school. I am looking at getting this since I do not have the budget to get another big screen. Is this compatible with my system? Thanks

you can, but I would look for a higher resolution in the 16:9 setup. They have some in the $100 price range at walmart that would work.

even for $50, the quality is going to suck donkey at 1280*1024.
I just checked your current monitor, and its 1080p. Why in the world would you go from 1080p to a 4:3 1024 resolution? That is anti logic.

I would say anything above 1366*768 on 16:9 setup. Really, above about 15" and 1366 seems like a bad resolution.

I use *that* monitor at work, no qualms with it for basic reading and media, so if you can get it for 50 bucks, go for it. Dell can make a good monitor...and that is one of them.
