Can install any OS on my notebook.

model: Acer Aspire 1692 wlmi
Im using an external CD-Rom since the internal doesn't work.

During the installation of Windows 7 I got an error. So the computer restarted and now I can boot neither from HDD or External CD-Rom.

all the options from the BIOS are set correctly. Boot priority:
1. CD ROM
2. Floppy (my system doesn have floppy drive)
3. HDD
4. Network (Disabled)

When i boot from HDD I get this:
Operation system not Found!

I have always installed XP using this external CD-Rom with no problems at all. It just doesnt boot from the external CD-ROM

my suggestions are :
using another external CD-ROM
buying a new Internal CD-ROm

But im not sure about them. Please help me!
