can not reinstall yahoo and msn chat

Hello
My friend is using windows 7 and mozilla. She uninstalled yahoo messenger and msn and now trying to reinstall. But she is getting the message

"yahoo messenger can not download the required files for installation please Check new firewall settings and repeat the..."

also

"ERROR yahoo messenger cant install all files needed check firewall
settings an retry"

she already tried unblocking the msn and yahoo from her control panel firewall settings. but still she can not install.

Please help.
 
Would need to know what firewall is being used. Disable the firewall temporarily and try installing again.
