Can Somebody Help Me Update My CPU

Ok here goes. I bought a computer off a buddy. It is a custom built computer. When I got it I bought new Logitech speakers to plug into it. When I plugged them in, i found out they didnt work. It says no audio device under control panel. I figured this was a driver problem. The problem is, its a custom built computer, so Im not sure what kind of drivers I need. I then tried to install Diablo 2. During the install it ran a video test to see if the game can be played on this computer. That test basically said I needed to update my video driver or video card. This computer was built to be a gaming computer, at least i think it was. So I have come to the conclusion that I want to totally update my drivers. Is there an easy and cheap way to do so. I want it to basically be up to date. I have already downloaded CPU-Z so I can give any necessary info about my motherboard or what not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CPU stands for Central Processing Unit, which is your processor, not your GPU, which is your video card. Look in device manager for what display adapter is installed and we will be able to tell you if that is for gaming or not. Most likely its an integrated card.

i already have a program called cpu-z that tells me all that information i believe. so what exactly did u need to know?

Yes CPU-z does show you the mother board, but not the sound card or your video. In my sig, you can get GPU-z and that will tell us what video card you are running.

ok so here is the info for the motherboard

As far as the GPU-Z program, its saying that everything is unknown. is this a bad thing?

Just a little bit. If you do have a video card maybe, open up the computer and take it out and try to see if it has any writing on it so you can at least see who the manufacturer is.

ok i can see through the side of my computer. im not that familiar with computers so can u tell me what it looks like. i can definitely see mostly everything on the inside now.

i would if i knew what it looked like... i have no idea what the video card looks like. Can somebody explain it to me

yeah thats not really helping much there are too many things that llok similar to that for me to be able to pick it out. There has got to be an easier way to do this. i just want to update everything. i can see that it has an intel pentium 4 processor. other than that i see stuff that says msi and also maxtor do any of those sound familiar

ok so that link takes me to a page where I can download all the drivers I need? Im just wondering if there is more to it...
