Picking a motherboard is like picking an apple out of a barrel: some of them are rotten, some of them are bruised, and some of them are nice and hardy. Better yet, picking a motherboard is like going into a dark old attic: you never know what you are going to find. I guess the only criterion one can use is the user ratings and reviews and go by that. Be aware of the fact that people buy the highest rated and recommended board and it dies in two hours and people buy a board that is not recommended by anyone and it runs faithfully for years.
