Okay, so my aunt is a teacher and her classroom has six computers which are really six monitors with those little HP mini things that can attach to the monitor. All of these PCs are connected to a server in the school office with switches and a crapton of Ethernet. All these PCs, except one, are VMs. I booted into PC 1 and I think it runs directly off the server because according to the system specs it had an 18-core Xeon and some huge hard drives (like 3TB or something). I booted into all the other PCs and I think they are VMs because the specs said things like "VMWARE CD-ROM DEVICE" or "VMWARE SCSI DISC". I was wondering how these VMs worked because when you boot up the little monitors it pulls up the login window for Windows 7 Enterprise but then it goes into the VM. How does this all work?
