I'm no expert, so maybe others can work on my suggestions. Also, I think it will be hard to get a good gaming rig for $600. I wouldn't go for anything less in the CPU and GPU department than I have below, but maybe AMD has something cheaper. This also doesn't include possible discounts (or sound card, if you want one). You may not need that particular wattage of PSU either, so maybe the price can go down there.

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059
$97

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115029
$190

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814130303
$290

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134117&Tpk=KVR800D2N5K2%2f2G
$55

DVD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135156
$40

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129025&Tpk=P182
$140

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153049
$125

Total: $937

Wow the graphic card is way more of what i expected i only need a 256 pci express.

those parts are almost 1000 bucks xD

can anyone make a cheaper match? i really dont know how to search for parts that will go with motherboard, etc

Does overcloking, make your processor lose alot of lifetime? like instead of lasting 2 years it only last 1 year?

If you don't want MIR, get the MSI P31 Neo-F

Can anyone beat that build?

and, how do you know if the motherboard will fit in the CPU case?

My only suggestion is that you might consider a DVD burner instead of that DVD-ROM drive. You won't even be able to burn CDs with it. For $21 more, you can get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135156

When you find a case, check it's motherboard capability in the specs. Then check the form factor of the motherboard. In this case, they are compatible (ATX). Almost everything is ATX. I think the only time to worry about it is when you choose a small form-factor case, or mobo other than ATX/microATX.

Actually, mine is $1 cheaper, and has the same timings. It's also from a WAY better trusted company. pqi is probably Value RAM...

Can someone tell me if there is a huge difference between GDDR3 and GDDR2 on a video card? and is it worth it for the long run? meaning they will last the same amount of time.
