im looking to buy a new board socket 939 that has all overclocking features though i do not want to spend to much...any help?

ASRock motherboards are not good for overclocking. The only good thing about them is that their cheap, and almost all of them dont even have any voltage controls.

Look into some Asus or Abit motherboards if you're into overclocking.

im looking and i have no clue which ones will let me overclock...also i have a ati vga can i still get a sli board? could you help me choose a good one omega?
 
It's hard to tell which motherboards have good overclocking features. The best way to find out is to go to the board manufacturer's website, and see if it lists any of the features. Or you can look at the Newegg reviews, and see if people say that it has voltage controls or not.

And yes you can use an ATI GPU in an SLI motherboard, however you can't have a multi-gpu rendering system.
 
the reviews on newegg are ok for the most part but a bit dodgey at times..im convinced people feel the need to comment on products they read about from other sites without actually using it for themselves...good thing about newegg they have an excellent return policy so should you get it and its not what you're looking for you can always return it

oh and newegg is also good about selling open box stuff well below the retail price for some things this is ok but for motherboards i would absolutely not buy open box don't let the cheap prices fool ya

Whaty exactly is your buget? Or are you jsut trying to find the cheapest one with good overclocking?
 
I just built a rig for my brother using a BioStar TForce-6100-939 coupled with an Athlon 3800. Looks like a heavy duty board with OC capabilities. It has on-board vid so perhaps not a gamer's board unless you add a pcie vid card. I've got it set up for optimum. It's a very nice board. The early ones had problems with NIC, but that's all well and good now on the ones being shipped. You can check it out at NewEgg.
