yes, they both are 184-pin specified... as long as the pin numbers match it should work just fine.

Yeah, it works, but could I suggest that you get atleast 2gb. So get that, and then another 512 stick if possible. Because winows stops using VM then. So.. If you get 2gb and VM shuts off, then your computer will be probably twice as fast at loads.

you really dont need 2 gb 1 gb is just fine.

well it really depends what you plan on using your computer for. if its goin to be a gaming computer, i wuld also reccomend 2gb of ram. newer games and programs are able to utilize more and more memory so its becoming more useful and way more common for people to have 2gb of ram.
