Can The X-Box Play DVD-RWs?

Hey my friend has a movie I wanted to see...and all he has at the moment is DVD-RW....If he copied the DVD to a DVD-RW...will it play on my XBOX? I know it can play DVD-Rs...This Xbox that i have has the "newer" drive...so ive been told...so i donno if that makes a difference

are you copying an avi or burning it like a dvd? if the latter, it should work.

I don't think so. Even with the "newer" drive, you still need the DVD playback kit. Which is basicly a 30$ remote.

no i have a remote and everything.....i watch movies that i burn on DVD-R on my Xbox all the time...im just wondering can the Xbox read DVD-RWs....I have the remote and teh kit....its not gonn abe an avi file or anything...a regular DVD...which is burnt onto a DVD-RW instead of a DVD-R....can the Xbox read DVD-RWs is my question
