Can this computer play Battlefield 2142 if not what graphic card?

Hey I bought a new computer the

HP Pavillion a1640n and it has a weak graphic card. Intel G965 intergraded

can someone tell me what new graphic card to get the price range im looking for at max is around $350. I have never bought a nVidia or ATI graphic card before only intel shared cards so i'm looking for much help from you guys =)

From the name of the integrated video, sounds like he has an pci-e slot, but remember that hp uses crappy psu's with low amps on the rails

Yeah I was gonna say, what was your PSU wattage, because those 800's can be power hogs. First thing to do would be to detirmine how much power your PSU has, then go from there. but anything from a 7700 and above will run it on reccomended settings, if your other parts are up to snuff.

You're joking right? You dont need a DX10 card to play BF2142.

If you want to play it at least on decent settings, I would recommend an nVidia 7600GT or better (not the 8500 series or lower), or an x1900GT/x800XT. But it depends on whether you have an AGP or PCI-E x16 slot.

Have you tried the demo to see? The 7900GS should handle it well, I know I can play it on my laptop, but thats when the settings are on low.

I am able to play 2142 on high with my BFG 7600 GT OC, so anything above it should more then do enough
