I may have to reformat my computer, may have a virus, have uninstalled Avast and Spybot which previously when clicked on restarted the computer. AVG which i downloaded cant find the virus. So I was thinking of reformatting. Is this the best idea? But if I do this all my software will have to be put onto a disc , wont this have the virus on it? Wont the virus be put onto the disc as well. So when i reinstall it the virus will be put back onto the computer.

And by the way I am a novice, how do you reformat. I mean how do you backup everything. Put everything onto DVDs, software, photos etc what is the best way?

Also how do you put software onto discs do you go to c/ program files then drag that file into Nero and burn it to disc? Or from the spot it was downloaded from? Dont really know what i am doing see.

How do you know it's a virus if AVG can't find it?

But yes, viruses can get onto disks... The can infect other hard drives in your system, photos, MP3s, etc etc...

And there's really no way to put software on disks. You just need to reload it.

men dont format...first download avira antivir...then download kaspersky v6 (not 5)
then download trojan remover and finally advance spyware remover....run all these in safe mode and i bet you my life that after all that you wont have any more viruses.......that's my way of looking for hidden virus that normal client cant detect....hope the info helps.

dont use program files use the download source..program files later may give error about missing dlls and so on
