Can you burn video onto an audio CD? I read something somewhere that said you could. Also where can you get some freeware that allows you to copy copy-protected dvds? Thanks.

I got Audio CD's for christmas a while back, and the only thing i could use them for was to make 80min audio cd's. If i tried to put data on it, it gave me some error message.

And your not allowed to make copies of copy protected movies.

I had audio CD's a while ago and i could have put w/e i want onto them, audio, files, movies. If you want to put movies that could be played on a DVD player, then you'll have to burn eaither VCD, SVCD or for some DVD players, mini-DVD's.

You are aloud to make BACK-UPS of the movies you own, but you MUST own and posses the original

Im not positve about DVD's, but with Computer CD's your not allowed to make a copy even for backup use.

how about just buy a DVD Burner and DVD-R cds with 4.7GB and burn the movies in DVD quality, that way you dont have to deal with old fashion 80min cd

Unless the movie is like lord of the rings and comes on a dual layer disk. Then you have to do it in half quality ;). And also have to buy very expensive dual layer disks and have a dual layer writter. (suppose you could just take the film itself off and leave out the menues and extras).

EDIT : Woot my 200th post.

if you burned video onto a cd-r, assuming youre using it for watch on a tv? then you would greatly lose quality. if youre talking about putting the cd in another computer to watch THERE, then yea, all you have to do is copy it to the CD. simple

Yea I know but most of the movies fit on a regular DVD-R cd.
