I am asking Windows 8 Users if you can change the Graphic User Interface back to to the Windows 7 look.

I found this fix and I am curious if it works:

If you want to change the Windows 8 start menu back to the Windows 7 version, here’s what you need to do:

Launch the registry editor (Window + R key then type regedit and hit Enter)
Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Explorer
Double-click on RPEnabled
Change the value from 1 to 0
Hit Enter or click OK

I believe that registry hack only works on the Windows 8 Developer Preview. I tried it in the Consumer Preview and it didn't work because the RPEnabled key doesn't exist. Not sure if it works on the final product or not.

I have had the same thought about using Regedit to replace 8 explorer with 7 explorer, therefore removing metro, but it probably wont work. There is third party software to help out there though.

I guess, if you do not like the UI, then its better to stick with 7 :P

Just download ViStart or something similar for free and be done with it. All most people want is for the Start Button/Menu to be returned.
