hey everybody!
just to fill you in, my parents are thinking about skipping the jumbo screen LCD TV and going straight to a Projector. i have been shopping around, and a big selling point is the DVI port, along with the rest of the normal inputs (VGA, S-video, ect.) i guess this is mainly because you can easily convert HDMI to DVI with a simple adapter. i found a great projector with 3000 lumens, 1080i, and all the nice stuff, but i want to be able to upgrade to HDTV in the future.
so, my question is: can you convert VGA to DVI, and then DVI to HDMI, (im sure you can) and what kind of quality loss can I expect?
by the way, i know 1080i is HDTV, but what what cable would you use if not DVI/HDMI?
any insight would be great!
