Can you play online games with 56kbs connections?

I was just wondering. I have a modem PCI card lying around somewhere that is 56kbs. Will I encounter major internet lag? Games im talking about: CoD4, BF2, CS:S, CS:1.6, Warrock games like that, mainly fps.

Most likely will be major laggy, however, ive never played online like that, so im not too sure.

I played Asheron's call up till 2002 on dial up,and it wasnt too much fun.Also keep in mind this was 99' era graphics.I dont think you can do it with todays high graphics games ;just too much data.Game patches today are also in the multi MBs where back then it was maybe 1 or 2 MB patches in those games if that.

You will lag like no other. I lagged while playing Battlefield 1942 on my old modem. I can't even imagine Battlefield 2 let alone CoD4.

lol you sure will lol mind you if poss try setting the game to the lowest graphical requirements it may help

haha, i bet its possible, but even with a 2d shooter, i lag a little. Of lag dont affect, why not?
