I am building my first computer, with the help of a friend who has built one before, and I want to make sure that this looks alright, or if there are any better parts for the same price that would be cool =]. I am mainly using this to play games (like crysis, cs, cod4, WOW, world in conflict, ect.), would this computer be able to handle it? I am trying to keep the build as cheap as possible, being 14 and that. One of the things I am worrying about though is that the PSU is not enough.
Heres the parts:
http://secure.newegg.com/Shopping/ShoppingCart.aspx?submit=ChangeItem
PSU: Xcilo 500Watt Goodpower
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (x2)
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX
CPU: Intel Pentium E2180 Allendale 2.0GHz 1MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit English 1pk DSP OEI DVD
GPU: MSI N9600GT-T2D512 GeForce 9600GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16
HD: EXCELSTOR Jupiter Series ESJ8080S 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
Case: XION Hydraulic XON-566TB
So it comes to about $740 with shipping, but about $620 after rebates
CPU:$70
GPU:$132
MOBO:$110
OS:$100
RAM:$50 (4GB)
PSU:$55
HD:$35
Case:$40
Also, I'm a little unsure about vista. First off is that a good one, also that whole thing with bugs supposedly being with it, but I figure that is fixed now and was exaggerated.
I'm out of town till Sunday, so please excuse my lack of replies, but I would love to hear what you have to say =]
