Can you use a server as a desktop?

Hey, I'm upgrading and can get a really cheap Opteron 240, could you build a coomputer with it and use it as I use my desktop, use Windows etc...

an opteron is just a processor just like a athalon 64 or x2 or fx but its better so they use it for servers.

I wouldnt say it was better, it just has its advantages. An operton is very overclockable. But it is no comparison to an FX for gaming.

Regardless whether you'd be bulding a server or a desktop, wouldnt you want/get a nice/stable/fast comp?

I wouldnt say it was better, it just has its advantages. An operton is very overclockable. But it is no comparison to an FX for gaming.

2. Why would it be no comparison for the FX?
