My brother just dropped his PC round for me to have a look at. It won't access the net through his router. Tried it on my router and nothing either. I cleared any Spyware/ Adware, and did a virus scan (avast) which found nothing, still no net. Firewall is config'd ok and I have been through every setting I can think of. It says its connected via Ethernet so its not the net adaptor. My PC connects fine through router so its not that. There is one weird thing though, when I go to set a home page and apply that, open up IE and it always trys to connect to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=74005. Any help much appreciated.
