Cannot get rid of ViewPoint

I have removed it from Add or Removed Programs (Viewpoint Manager, Toolbar, and Media Player) and I have deleted the registry keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER. However, the ViewPoint folder still remains under Program Files )My COmputer > C >Program Files.

I cannot delete it. The file that cannot be deleted is AxMetaStream.dll

It says that the file may be in use. How do I get rid of it?

dont know if this will help or not, but have you tried disabling 'sytem restore' and then rebooting in safe mode and trying to delete?

sometime programs get stuck in system restores and you have to disable before delete and other times programs are running in the background when running in normal mode and cant be deleted

Try to delete it in safemode. If that doesn't work, post the full filepath e.g. C:\program files\viewpoint\AxMetaStream.dll
