Cannot install Windows 7 SP1

It seems there are a lot of corrupt windows files.

Windows update isn't working, chkdsk isn't working, sfc isn't working. I've done several virus scans (found no problems) and have searched the internet and tried countless solutions - nothing is working. I used SeaTools to test the HDD and it passed all tests.

So, a repair install is what I'm planning next. However, when I try to perform a repair install (a.k.a. an in place upgrade) I'm told that I need to have SP1 installed first. So I downloaded SP1 and tried running it, but then I get the following message:
xlZzuRsK.jpg.pagespeed.ic.Nl0g8O_D8tnGwWnOZvkE.webp

And I have no idea what to do next, any help would be greatly appreciated :D

What type of media are you using to install windows? Is it a burned dvd or an actual microsoft dvd? Don't do a repair install, just wipe the drive and do a fresh install again.

Thank you for your response.

I downloaded the SP1 update from CNet, the installation is running from a USB drive I created using the Windows 7 USB-DVD tool (which I downloaded a long time ago, a believe from the MS website). I Windows files themselves I downloaded from here: http://getintopc.com/softwares/oper...home-premium-free-download-iso-32-bit-64-bit/

I will do a re-install as a last resort. I should have mentioned this in my original post, but I posted this problem in another forum as well:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/566066/cannot-install-windows-7-sp1/

I did this just to get as much help as possible for my current problem (as I've already spent so much time on it myself without fixing it). I hope this doesn't confuse you or cause problems.
