Cannot install windows media player 11, why?

well, i could not install windows media player 11-beta in my computer after i downloaded from microsoft.com. it says:



setup cannot continue

one or more of the following problems has accured during setup.

! Windows Genuine Advantage Validation
setup was unable to falidate that your copy of windows genuine. click finish
to close setup and navigate your web browser to the windows genuine
advantage website for additional information.



can any body tell me how to solve this problem

Before installing a Microsoft product, you have to download the genuine advantage too so it can then decide if you are using a legit version.
 
you get that message because your using a pirated version of windows or your cd key is invalid, the only legal way to fix that is to buy a legit version of Windows XP.

well, i dont know if i'm using pirated version or not actually..cos one of my friend did it for me.....anyway, is there any ilegal wayto fix that problem before using the legal way (buy a legit version of windows xp)?

There may be, or there may not be... We cannot discuss illegal activity here.
