Cannot login?

I changed a setting by accident to ask for username and password when logging in. I restarted the computer and see that my username is already filled out but they ask me for my password which I enter many times and it doesn't work.

It tells me that the username or password is not valid. I also tried changing the user name but no luck.

I need to logging but I can't because of this in the way.

Any suggestions would help.

in the first place you should also have created a password reset disk.
this may sound dumb but have you changed the username to 'administrator' ?
