cann't view the content of rw-cd

hi friends,

i have windows xp. i burnt an rw-cd using nero. then i went to my friend. he has windows 98. but i cudn't access that cd there. in my computer on the place of cd drive's icon it is showing audio cd's icon. but it is a simple data cd. not a audio cd.

when i opened the cd it was showing only an icon "track1"........but there were many folder.......where have they gone???
 
Did you burn it correctly? Maybe you accidentally created an audio cd or something?

Or maybe you brought the wrong cd? :o

That's why I never use RWs... There's 95% probability of reading it only on the computer where you burned it, while on other computers you could have surprises.
 
i think it is windows 98 related problem because cd is running fine on the other PCs where windows xp is installed....! may be some driver related problem!!!
 
1. What is the speed rating for the RW disc? Older optical drives cant read many RW discs.
2. Sounds like an ASPI issue on the older computer
3. You install WindowsXP from boottime so W98 isnt an issue :)
