im going to pay more attention to the digital cameras on this forum.
I have a canon S3IS and all the attachments. the one attachment im curios about and the water drop post caught my attention. its a close up lens. 500D (58mm). it wasn't expensive but was wondering if using would really make a difference. like with the water droplet?

you boys are going to send me on another adventure and learning curve.
again...............thanks

58mm is not a big zoom. It will probably be enough for a flower, this is a 55mm shot:

According to this review, you have a 36-432mm lens. When I do Macro shots, I use my other lens, which is a 70-300mm lens set to between 180 and 300mm. That is possible only if you have a Macro focus. Try out it out on your DC using macro mode.

I recommend you use a tripod to keep your camera steady (even though the picture I showed you above wasn't taken using a tripod :P).

Hope I helped you
:)
