Can't access any foreign sites all of a sudden

All of a sudden I can't access any non-English sites at all... I have absolutely no idea what's going on as I didn't even use the laptop that much these few days. The last thing I installed was the DivX player, and I don't think that has anything to do with the internet. Whenever I try to go on any sites, it just says "Google Chrome cannot connect to ____". It does the same thing with Firefox and IE. Another odd thing I noticed is that out of the blue none of my internet browsers auto-completes the address bar anymore. For example before if I type in "wi", it will automatically fill in "wikipedia.org" for me, and if I type in "go", it will automatically fill in "google.com", now it doesn't do that for any websites anymore.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

what kind of sites are you trying to access?

if you cleared out the temp files/cache that would delete your autocomplete history or have you turned it off at all

alternatively if you havent download ccleaner and clean the temp files

http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

also, may be a longshot, but have you powercycled the router (turn if off for about 30 secs and back on again)

Any non-English sites... such as the Chinese version of google "baidu.com". I haven't deleted or even changed any settings in these few days, and even if they were deleted if I visited wikipedia wouldn't that get recorded again? How do I turn on auto-complete? And what does ccleaner do?
I haven't tried resetting the browser, I'll try that thanks.

i didnt mention resetting the browser i suggested turning off you equipment, mainly the router/modem (which is the box your internet comes through)

ccleaner full name is crap cleaner and it does just that gets rid of all the useless junk built up on your computer, usually comprising of internet files,
when browsing the internet a lot of files are stored, items such as images ,cookies, various little bits of information about the websites youve been to.

in some case this files cause websites to become unavailable ccleaner will clean these files and may fix the problem
