Can't access router

I tried going to my default gateway to access ports, but when I typed in admin as the username and password, it would say that it is the incorrect password, even though I have never changed the password and accessed it many times in the past... anyone know what could be the problem ?
 
If you cant use the default password, and don't know what it may have been changed to.. Press in the little reset button on the router itself. All setting will go back to default.
 
You need to press the little button in with a pen or something small. Hold it for 3 seconds. Then you can login with the defalt password.

That did not work?
 
What make and model is the router? You can set it back to factory settings just need to find the right way to do it.

My friend had a belkins router that I need to restore and it had a stupid way of holding the button for 10 secs, turn the router off then on again and press the button for another 10 secs.

It took a while to do but it worked.
 
If you tell us what brand of router it is, we can look up the default router login details.

Does the router function properly itself, or are you trying to access it because it isn't working?

Bit of a long shot (IMO), but it could be refusing your login because it's broken...? However, I doubt that one myself.
 
i think this is what kof2000 was saying, but when leave the username blank and just put admin in the password prompt. I have a lynskis(??) and thats how it is on there.
 
Well I have a D-Link DI-614+ , I'm pretty sure my router isn't broken... I just tried to open up so I could run a game.
 
What are you bumping for, you never answered any questions we asked...
What model is it, have you tried reseting it?
