Can't access Windows Security Center (XP)

The title says it all. For some reason I can't get to my Windows Security center to turn off Windows Firewall. Is there another way? Each time I try and access it, I get a message that says an unidentified program won't let me access windows security center and then I press Okay, and thats it. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Hmm sounds like you either have a trojan or some malware going on there if all you need is the firewall go to control panel > windows firewall and see if that helps any...

Hmm..I'll have to post a Hijack This! log and see if there are any suspicious trojans or malware. I didnt think that was the reason beacause that system performs quite well. Its not any of the AVG, Spybot, CCleaner, or Adwares is it, I dont think it is but just want to make sure.
