cant alter cpu in bios!!!

ok i was about to begin overclocking my cpu in the bios, but then i noticed that it is gray and unselectable!!! any ways to unlock these options?
 
It can't be the CPU you can't alter, since there is no CPU to alter. Look for the fsb speed in the bios, that's what you have to change.
 
Multiplier, memory clock speed, watch playing with the core voltages!, etc.. You have to look for the auto/manual settings to select auto, optimal, default, or manual. Once you select manual a menu of choices will come up. Don't change settings in "leaps and bounds" but with small changes only to start. Get familiar with the board first.
 
i don't think you can chamge the multiplier on an x2 processor. that's why they have thre fx series. it's basically the same but with unlocked multipliers. that's why they cost so much.
