Can't boot to CD

I have a lenovo desktop PC and I just installed a new 500GB SATA HDD. There is already another HDD in there that boots to Windows 8. Looking at the system summary in BIOS I can see both hard drives and the CD/DVD drive. When I press F12 to choose from the boot devices, the only device listed is SATA 1 - the HDD with windows 8. I have secure boot disabled. Why can't I boot from the Windows 7 install disc?

See if there is a option for either CSM boot or legacy boot.

I love windows 8 but I hate the way that's set as default on some BIOSs on the new 8 computers.

Yes, there is an option for CSM, it was disabled and now I've enabled it and I'm able to boot to the CD! Thank you!!
