can't boot vista from grub

I just installed open SUSE 11.0 on my second HDD. First, if using my usb keyboard, when the grub screen pops up asking what os to boot to, the keyboard doesn't work and it boots into SUSE automatically. Once it has started, the keyboard works. If I plug a PS/2 keyboard in, it works. The grub screen lists Windows 1, and windows 2, which I assume are in reference to the two partitions I created when I installed Vista. Trying to boot from either of those brings up " rootnoverify (hd1, 1) chainloader (hd0, 0)+1" Then nothing happens. Does anybody have any insight as to how I can get vista to load? Thanks a lot,

andrew

Addendum to the situation. Grub was not allowing me to set vista as my default boot. I eventually found where I could run lilo instead, which allowed vista to be set as the default. This was all before I downloaded the updates though, so maybe grub would work now for whatever reason. I still have the problem that my usb keyboard is not recognized when the lilo boot select page appears. So if I want to boot into linux I have to plug in a ps/2 keyboard.

Wow, I feel dumb dumb dumb! In my fit of computer-induced rage yesterday, I didn't think to search "usb keyboard grub". First thing that comes up tells me to enable usb legacy support. Duhhhh. It all works now. Just thought I would post this up for reference.

Yeah you need to enable legacy USB

I cant run SuSE on my dell because i have only USB but no option to enable legacy usb in the BIOS. I reported it way back in version 10.0 but they still aint done anything
